J-317MT/J317MST 4-12 WATT FM BROADCAST EXCITER/TRANSMITTER

DESCRIPTION

    The J-317MT and J317MST have been type accepted for use under the 1991 FCC rule changes and meets or exceeds all past and present applicable FCC part #74 requirements. this unit has been TYPE ACCEPTED for 5 to 12 watts and is approved to drive higher powered amplifiers such as Tepco's 250 Watt amplifier, model J3250, or the 100 Watt amplifier, model J3100. The new, tighter FCC frequency tolerance of +/-2000 Hz is easily met by this unit.
    The J-317MST includes a stereo generator with optional audio filtering and processing. The J-317MT is used for mono or with an external stereo generator. The RF output is regulated for signal variation and line voltage changes. Additionally, the output power stage is protected in the event of serious load changes by a special power reduction circuit. For locally originated announcements, as per FCC requirements, an optional built-in audio exciter is available (see TC-2W under accessories). The J-317MT/MST can be used for "SATALATOR" service, i.e.. mono, stereo, or composite audio input; or as a low power FM station or backup..
    Modular construction permits ease of access to all components for service, test and part replacement. As much as possible; standard, high quality parts are used throughout. Replacement parts are available either directly from the Tepco Corporation, or through numerous part suppliers. All units are environmentally tested at the factory under operating conditions via a computer aided test program. A printout of this accurate, unbiased data is shipped with each unit for verification and future reference. The warranty covers all parts and workmanship for a period of one year.
    This transmitter model is ideal for solar powered sites due to it's low power consumption. DC option (28VDC) available upon request. A DC/DC converter is available: DC-40.
